Neptune Lines launches Middle East new short sea shipping service

Neptune Lines is pleased to announce the launching of its short sea vehicle transportation service in the Arabian Gulf. The regular, two-loop service, interchanging weekly, will be operated in the initial phase by our vessel Neptune Ploes, connecting eight countries in the Gulf (United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain) as follows:

  • Loop A: Jebel Ali (Dubai) – Bandar Abbas (Iran) or Sohar (Oman) (alternating) – Umm Qasr (Iraq) – Shuwaikh port (Kuwait), and then on to Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi).
  • Loop B: Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi) – Doha (Qatar) – Bahrain – Dammam (Saudi Arabia) on to Jebel Ali (Dubai).

The transit times are scheduled as follows:

  • From Jebel Ali to Bandar Abbas or Sohar 1 day, to Umm Qasr 3 days, to Shuwaikh port (Kuwait) 4 days.
  • From Khalifa Port to Doha 1 day, to Bahrain 2 days, to Dammam 3 days.
