- In 1973, Mr. Nicolas Travlos founded Neptune Shipping Agencies S.A., with the purpose of providing cargo and ship handling services to all Greek ports. Soon after, Neptune Shipping Agencies began representing Tramp and Tanker Owners.

- By 1980, the Company's activities had expanded to include chartering vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.

- In the early '80s Neptune Lines Shipping and Managing Enterprises S.A, established itself as an active member of the Shipping community, through operation of general cargo and container vessels.

- By 1986 the Company was operating her first Ro/Ro vessel and soon after her first PCC, in European ports. This marked the beginning of the formulation of the Company's current trade pattern.

- In 1987, a broad agency network commenced with the establishment of an office in Barcelona. Neptune’s agency team provides customers with expert service, covering all ship agency operations.

- By the early '90s Neptune Lines was enjoying the recognition of major car manufacturers, and had increased the fleet under its management, while further providing feedering services to Mediterranean and Black Sea ports.

- In 2000, the Company expanded reaching new horizons through the construction and operation of four (4) newbuildings.

- In 2001, the Company obtained certification in the ISO 9001 Management System Standard.
