Neptune Lines celebrates IMO International Day for Women in Maritime

Today, we celebrate the IMO International Day for Women in Maritime for the first time.

The day is intended to promote the recruitment, retention and sustained employment of women in the maritime sector, raise the profile of women in maritime, strengthen IMO's commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 5 (gender equality) and support work to address the current gender imbalance in maritime.

At Neptune Lines, we are totally supportive of this IMO initiative and we believe that “It is not about your gender – it is about what you can do!” as the IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim mentions.

“We are proud of all our female employees both onshore and at sea, supporting the growth and development of Neptune Lines” states our Chair of the Board Ms Melina Travlos.

Maritime is for all!
