Our President, Melina Travlos, is a true visionary as well as the “heart” of Neptune Lines Shipping and Managing Enterprises SA and Neptune Dry Management Company and we are all proud of our inspiring leader.
Having served UGS for 15 years as a Member of the Board as well as Secretary, on February 10th, 2022, she was elected unanimously as the new President of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS).
A leader with strong strategical thinking and passion for Shipping Melina Travlos is also a Member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, Member of the Greek National Committee of DNV-GL, Member of the BoD of the Hellenic Mutual War Risks Association, Member of the Board of Trustees of Northeastern University of Boston, President of the Executive Committee of Malta International Shipowners Association and Honorary Consul of Denmark in Piraeus.
Melina Travlos, the first female President of the Union of Greek Shipowners, immediately following her unanimous election, made the following statement: I want to thank, especially, our outgoing President, Theodoros Veniamis for his multiannual, consistent, multi-level, and internationally acknowledged contribution to Greek shipping and to its social footprint, through SYN-ENOSIS.
