Neptune Pireas is the first vessel under Neptune’s Genesis Project, reflecting the Group’s continued investment in fleet modernization, lower-emission transport solutions and the future of finished vehicle logistics. During the call, Neptune Pireas discharged 4,000 new vehicles, one of the largest volumes handled by the terminal to date, further underlining the capabilities of the newly built vessel and the strategic role of NLS Port-La-Nouvelle within Neptune Group’s logistics network.
The call also marks an important milestone for the Group’s new automotive terminal in Southern France, NLS Port-La-Nouvelle, which recently commenced operations. Strategically located in the heart of major European markets, the terminal serves as a key gateway in the Western Mediterranean combining direct access to Neptune Lines’ extensive short-sea service with efficient road and rail connections.
With 20 hectares of operational space, capacity for 10,000 vehicles, 420 metres of dedicated quays and a 2,100 sqm PDI centre, NLS Port-La-Nouvelle is designed to deliver flexible, efficient and value-added services across the automotive supply chain. Its rail distribution capabilities further enhance access to major European destinations, strengthening Neptune Group’s integrated logistics platform.
